Ti gasovi propu\u0161taju svetlost, ali zadr\u017eavaju toplotu, poput staklenih zidova staklene ba\u0161te, a otuda poti\u010de i ovaj naziv.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sun\u010deva svetlost pada na Zemljinu povr\u0161inu gde se energija apsorbuje i zatim zra\u010di nazad u atmosferu kao toplota. U atmosferi, molekuli hvataju deo toplote, a ostatak se oslobodi u svemir. \u0160to se vi\u0161e gasova sa efektom staklene ba\u0161te koncentri\u0161e u atmosferi, vi\u0161e toplote ostaje zarobljeno u molekulima.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nau\u010dnici prepoznaju efekat staklene ba\u0161te od 1824. godine, kada je D\u017eozef Furije izra\u010dunao da bi Zemlja bila mnogo hladnija da nema atmosfere. Ovaj prirodni efekat staklene ba\u0161te je ono \u0161to \u010dini klimu Zemlje pogodnom za \u017eivot. Bez njega, povr\u0161ina Zemlje bila bi u proseku hladnija za oko 60 stepeni Farenhajta (33 stepena Celzijusa).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tokom 1895. godine, \u0161vedski hemi\u010dar Svante Arhenius otkrio je da ljudi mogu poja\u010dati efekat staklene ba\u0161te stvaranjem ugljen-dioksida. Zahvaljuju\u0107i njemu, danas razumemo \u0161ta je globalno zagrevanje i kakvi su njegovi efekti.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Delovanje efekta staklene ba\u0161te<\/strong> se povec\u0301avalo i smanjivalo tokom Zemljine istorije, ali je bilo prili\u010dno konstantno u poslednjih nekoliko hiljada godina. Prose\u010dne globalne temperature su tako\u0111e bile konstantne u tom periodu &#8211; sve do poslednjih 150 godina. Sagorevanjem fosilnih goriva i drugim aktivnostima koje osloba\u0111aju velike koli\u010dine gasova (posebno tokom poslednjih nekoliko decenija), ljudi poja\u010davaju efekat staklene ba\u0161te i zna\u010dajno zagrevaju Zemlju, upozoravaju nau\u010dnici.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">\u0160ta uzrokuje efekat staklene ba\u0161te?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sun\u010deva svetlost \u010dini zemlju pogodnom za stanovanje. Dok se 30 procenata solarne energije koja dopire do na\u0161eg sveta reflektuje nazad u svemir, pribli\u017eno 70 procenata prolazi kroz atmosferu do zemljine povr\u0161ine, gde je apsorbuju zemlja, okeani i atmosfera. Zatim ta toplota zra\u010di nazad u obliku nevidljive infracrvene svetlosti. Dok deo ove infracrvene svetlosti nastavlja u svemir, ogromnu vec\u0301inu &#8211; zaista, oko 90 procenata &#8211; apsorbuju atmosferski gasovi i preusmeravaju natrag prema zemlji, izazivajuc\u0301i dalje zagrevanje. Vec\u0301e koncentracije gasova sa efektom staklene ba\u0161te &#8211; a naro\u010dito ugljen dioksida &#8211; izazivaju zadr\u017eavanje dodatne toplote i porast globalnih temperatura.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Odakle poti\u010de efekat staklene ba\u0161te?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Veli\u010dina stanovni\u0161tva, ekonomska aktivnost, \u017eivotni stil, upotreba energije, obrasci kori\u0161c\u0301enja zemlji\u0161ta, tehnologija i klimatska politika: prema Me\u0111uvladinom panelu o klimatskim promenama (IPCC), ovo su sile koje pokrec\u0301u gotovo sve emisije gasova sa efektom staklene ba\u0161te. Evo jasnijeg pregleda izvora emisije gasova sa efektom staklene ba\u0161te.<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Proizvodnja elektri\u010dne i toplotne energije<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sagorevanje uglja, nafte i prirodnog gasa za proizvodnju elektri\u010dne i toplotne energije \u010dini \u010detvrtinu svetskih emisija kojima upravlja \u010dovek, \u0161to ga \u010dini najvec\u0301im pojedina\u010dnim izvorom.<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"2\">\n<li>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Poljoprivreda i promene u kori\u0161\u0107enju zemlji\u0161ta<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Otprilike jedna \u010detvrtina globalnih emisija gasova sa efektom staklene ba\u0161te poti\u010de od poljoprivrede i drugih aktivnosti kori\u0161c\u0301enja zemlji\u0161ta (poput kr\u010denja \u0161uma). Drvec\u0301e, biljke i tlo apsorbuju ugljen dioksid iz vazduha. Biljke i drvec\u0301e to rade fotosintezom (proces kojim pretvaraju ugljendioksid u glukozu); Kad se drvec\u0301e ili biljke poseku, vi\u0161e ne apsorbuju ugljendioksid, a kada se spaljuju ili razgrade, ispu\u0161taju ugljen dioksid nazad u atmosferu.<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"3\">\n<li>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Industrija<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Otprilike petina globalnih emisija koje poti\u010du od ljudi dolazi iz industrijskog sektora, \u0161to uklju\u010duje proizvodnju robe i sirovina (poput cementa i \u010delika), preradu hrane i izgradnju.<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"4\">\n<li>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Prevoz<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sagorevanje naftnih goriva, benzina i dizela, kako bi se napajali svetski transportni sistemi \u010dini 14 procenata globalne emisije gasova sa efektom staklene ba\u0161te. Ugljen dioksid je primarni gas koji se emituje, iako sagorevanje goriva tako\u0111e osloba\u0111a male koli\u010dine metana i azot-oksida, a klimatizacija vozila i rashladni transport osloba\u0111aju fluorisane gasove.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">\u0160ta smanjuje efekat staklene ba\u0161te na Zemlji?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Biljke mogu pomoc\u0301i da se uravnote\u017ei efekat staklene ba\u0161te na Zemlji. Sve biljke &#8211; od d\u017einovskih stabala do sic\u0301u\u0161nog fitoplanktona u okeanu &#8211; uzimaju ugljen dioksid i osloba\u0111aju kiseonik.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Okean tako\u0111e apsorbuje mnogo vi\u0161ka ugljen dioksida iz vazduha. Na\u017ealost, povec\u0301ani ugljen dioksid u okeanu menja vodu, \u010dinec\u0301i je kiselijom.
